Doom on N70 :-)

yeah, it's true... and it's not just another crappy "mobile game." it is the same old doom (hell yeah, d-o-o-m!) on your symbian series 60 phone. it uses the same .wad game map file from the original id software doom pc game to run on your mobile phone. same graphics, same sounds, same experience -- on your mobile.

how to install and run:
1. download the series 60 game engine from here.
2. download the "doom.wad" game map file from here.
3. install the game engine on your mobile phone.
4. extract and copy the "doom.wad" file to your phone.
5. run the installed "c2 doom" game engine.
6. locate the "doom.wad" file. enjoy!

N70 Busted :-(

finally, after all those glorious days of cracking, hacking, high-tech, over-the-limit jargon, my n70 crached due to an issue with the signal ic. well, no more play for a while... hoping to get it repaired soon... but the issue is i don't have much time to go out, at least for this... damn...

well, for the time being my good old 6610 (that i used for over 2 years) has come back to the rescue. with a couple of scratches, it still is in good condition... man those old phones are real bricks ;-)

Dragula - Best of Gothic

i am not that much of a rob zombie fan, but this gothic-style track is awsome...

track name: dragula
album: hellbilly deluxe album
artiste: rob zombie
download link: Rob Zombie - Dragula

dead i am the one, exterminating son
slipping through the trees, strangling the breeze
dead i am the sky, watching angels cry
while they slowly turn, conquering the worm

dig through the ditches,
burn through the witches
i slam in the back of my dragula //

dead i am the pool, spreading from the fool
weak and want you need, nowhere as you bleed
dead i am the rat, feast upon the cat
tender is the fur, dying as you purr

dig through the ditches,
burn through the witches
i slam in the back of my dragula //

so do it baby, do it baby
so do it baby, do it baby
burn like an animal

dead i am the light, digging through the skin
knuckle cracked the boat, twenty one to win

dead i am the dog, hound of hell you cry
devil on your back, i can never die

dig through the ditches,
burn through the witches
i slam in the back of my dragula //

so do it baby, do it baby
so do it baby, do it baby
burn like an animal

dig through the ditches,
burn through the witches
i slam in the back of my dragula ////

The Sexiest Song Ever...

never heard of a song of such caliber... the sexiest song i've ever heard... awsome lyrics... check it out...

track name: bilingual
original artiste: jose nunez

remixed track name: render yours
remix artiste: dj nina

you can download the track here.

the only aphrodisiac i need is your voice
hearing you speak my name
beckoning me to answer
telling me you want me
so i tell you that you're the answer to every question i've ever had about love

without words i use my tongue to tell the tale of us
tracing your shadowscape
kneeling before you my eyes feast upon your masculinity and
all its divinity and i praise you
because all of that is for me

i begin to indulge myself of your delicacies
digesting semi-sweet dark chocolate decadence as it melts
dripping down my chin
your taste is something godiva couldn't re-create

needing every atom of your anatomy
necessity is placed upon me knowing you are the source of my serendipity
dipping in and out of me stroking more than my consciousness
subconsciously i find myself rewinding our love scenes
in my daydreams
seeing that face you make when you're making me cum
and it makes me want you right there and then

thinking of you in inappropriate places i get
tingling sensations in private locations where i wish to be caught between a rock and your hard place

as wetness develops my legs begin to open and my spot turns to a back draft and all i want you to do is extinguish it
you know my body like the back of your hands
and touch me and send me into ecstasy

my thighs quiver in anticipation of deep penetration which gets me high
body rising
sweating
panting
make-up melting
pulling my hair and

scratching my back
i get a temporary case of tourettes because all i can say are four letter words in a four octave-range screaming your name

(spanish)

you f*cking me makes me bilingual ////

i see your tongue pink between your lips and i want it between mine
and i struggle
as you lick torturing me
i try to get away but
not really

running out of room begging for more up against the wall that has been scuffed by my stilettos
again
you pry apart my thighs and tell me to be still
and i willingly submit to you because i love the way you dominate me
demanding that i come for you so i do as i'm told

you've molded me so i'm good to no-one else but you
you've conquered this once orgasmic less world and multiplied it
again and
again

my face radiates with after-glow
my pillow scented by you
a fragrance which haunts me
my room smells of the best sex
i
covered in body prints and finger prints and you above me
your name written indelibly upon my body in your genetic history

you f*cking me makes me bilingual //// ////

Email Forwards—Use Your Brains!

hi all,

i have been receiving emails from many people with requests to forward the email, so that some other person who is in trouble will be given financial assistance. some even carry the heading saying "if you don't forward, you don't have a heart."

actually 99% of these emails are hoaxes created by some nerd out there as they have got nothing else to do in their life but compose these stupid emails. it is so pathetic that these people publish pictures of innocent children/adults who undergo surgery or children/adults with abnormal physical conditions.

it is very rude and unethical for some one to publish these as they go around the world and everyone gets to know of this even if it is personal. there may be really genuine requests among these. so i think the best way is to get such email circulated within "friends & family" as they can be trusted to a certain extent. some emails that i receive were many years old. and still they keep circulating.

those of you who create these emails, think if you were in that condition or if your parent/sibling/child was in that condition, would you like their pictures being circulated around the world for no reason?

please don't do this. and don't forward such emails that you receive. give an end to it. no one will pay some person in need for forwarding emails. and even if some one does, it is really bad and unethical marketing. you should not use one's sorrow for your benefit.

please give your comments on this, and help to put and end to this chain emails.

PowerMP3 - Symbian 60 - Cracked

finally managed to crack the best mp3 player for symbian 60 phones that i've tested. PowerMP3 by MobiFactor is a real good mp3 player for symbian 60 phones. i tested it on my n70 and it worked fine.

the only drawback was that it came with the default skin which is not appealing. but the sony walkman skin looked great on symbian 60 phones with this software. and that is available as a seperate .sis file for installation. but it was a pain to install the main program, and then to install the skin.

also, one of the main headaches was that the software was not cracked and you can only play 60 seconds of music of a given track. there was a crack code online, but using the code and memorizing it to use everytime you install it was a pain.

so i decided to crack the software internally and include the cracked installation package in one .sis file. so here we go...

PowerMP3 v1.01 with Sony Walkman Skin Cracked

let me know your views...

HTML Tabs Using JavaScript

well, i was loooking for an option to create tabs in an html document without using many graphic labels and huge scripting, as i was fed up of spending loads and loads of hours doing the base work for the out put.

i found this interesting javascript on "i don't know where," which uses just a single script file and can be used to create tabs in an html document. the best part is all the coding goes in one html and once viewed on an internet browser, it will show the tabs.

the basic usage of this script is as follows:

1. put this part in the html header:

<script type="text/javascript"
src="tabber.js"></script>

<script type="text/javascript">

/* Optional: Temporarily hide the "tabber" class so it does not "flash" on the page as plain HTML. After tabber runs, the class is changed to "tabberlive" and it will appear. */

document.write('<style type="text/css">.tabber{display:none;}<\/style>');

</script>

2. and put this in the body part of the html:

<div class="tabbertab">

<h2>Sample Tab</h2>

<p>

/* Tab content goes in here... */

</p>

</div>

3. repeat step "2" for the number of tabs you want.

4. the title of the tab is defined within the <h1> and </h2> tags.

5. you can change the font and colors by using a style sheet and defining values.

6. the text in each tab goes within the <p> and </p> tags. you can include tables or any form of html tag within these tags.

7. one "tab block" is defined within the <div class="tabbertab"> and </div> tags.

8. you can download the javascript from the following location:
http://mediafire.com/?34mqtmmhcdb

note: when using deamweaver to design/edit the page, the tabs are not shown in a tabular format in design view. but it will show up when previewed in a browser.

disclaimer: this javascript is free to edit and update, but should be distributed with the author's disclaimer. project gcc does not encourage the violation of software integrity by any means.

happy tabbing :)

cheers,
neo.

Playing WMA Files on N70

space does matter; and when it comes to mobile phones, space is critical. since the introduction of phones that can play mp3s, there were loads of mp3 playable software introduced to the market. but, only a few mp3 players deliver near satisfactory results.

usually a 128kbps, joint-stereo, mode 1 mp3 gives almost similar good sounds equivalent to a 44khz, pcm wave file. wma files are good since they are even smaller than mp3s, but the only issue i've faced is that you need a special device or software to get the best out of it.

wma files encoded at 64kbps, gives similar sound quality to a 128kbps mp3 on my "creative tx-fm" mp3 player, but doesn't sound that good on my n70. but still it is worth experimenting wma files on a nokia n70.

well, first i tried downloading several so called "wma players for n70," but all were just some crappy software that almost ruined my phone. i had to re-install the firemwire twice thanks to these crappy wma players.

but there are two alternative methods to play wma files on an n70.

method 1:
  1. install the wma codec for symbian 60. (you can download this by searching the internet.)
  2. rename the .wma files to .mp3.
  3. now you should be able to play the files using the default player that comes with the phone.

note: most other (all that i tried) mp3 players that support symbian 60, will not play the renamed wma files, and may freeze your phone. if this happens, restart your phone.

method 2:

  1. install the wma codec for symbian 60.
  2. instead of renaming the .wma files to .mp3, create a .m3u (winamp playlist) file.
  3. open the playlist file and it should play all the wma tracks on the list, using the default nokia music player. (ogg player will not play these playlists; some websites say that it does, but every time i tried, it failed.)

note: you can use a text editor or winamp on your pc to create the playlist. if using winamp, open the playlist once it is created, using notepad and search and replace the pc path with the phone path (i.e., "d:\program files\..." with "d:\songs\...").

here are some sample playlists...

sample playlist 1:

#EXTM3U

Track 1.wma

Track 2.wma

Track 3.wma

sample playlist 2:

#EXTM3U

Songs\Track 1.wma

Songs\Track 2.wma

Songs\Track 3.wma

note: instead of using relative paths to create the plalist, it is better to use absolute paths; as a result you can put the playlist anywhere on your phone and play the files from any location.

hope these hints were helpful. send in your comments.

have fun with the "wma"s :)

cheers,

neo.

Chipped Ma Playstation

got my plastation 2 chipped yesterday :) ell the frstay to go in was "mortal kombat." then went the "mission impossible."

but the story begins when we were looking for a person to chip it. (we = me + my friend who was also looking to crack his playstation)

one guy said 9,000 and the other said 8,900 and we managed to get it down to 8,500 since we were giving them two jobs. first we took the older ps2 which a bit larger than the slim version. so my friend headed back to bring the slim version which we left in his car. on his way, he had to pass the previous shop, and when they saw the slim version, they were like "oh, that ps2 will cost you 11,500..." @#%)*@#)%*@$.

so this guy said he will call us once the job is done and said he needs more time to crack the slim ps2. we said ok and headed back.

my friend got a call in a few days saying that his ps2 is ready for pick up. and when he went there, they said the chip has not yet arrived for the slim version and that they will keep it ready in 2 days. so my friend paid for one ps2 and came back.

we went back in two days and the ps2 was not at the shop. they were like "it's on its way" @#%@#)%($@ "we did not give them a walking ps2!!!"

anyway the shop owner said that some other guy does the cracking for them and he's on his way with the ps2 and asked us to stay for 5 minutets. 5 minutes later he says 30 minutes. me and my friend came out of office promising that we will be back in 1 hour and it was a rainy day. and by that time we were almost on the 45th minute. so we stold him that we can't stay no more, and asked him if he could deliver it to our office. with much hesitation, he agreed. i gave him my card and we headed back.

we were a few minutes late, but things were cool. around 6 pm i get a call from this guy and he says that the ps2 is ready and they need 400 bucks more, as the chip had to be imported from singapore and it cost them more. ^%$@#^_#

i told him that it's not fair and the amount has already been agreed and billed. so he was saying that he has to pay the person who did the crack and al the #@##. i told him that i'm not gonna pay more than what we agreed upon. then he says that he will have to charge for delivery. (yes, the ps2 can't walk all the way from the shop to our office... point taken... so may be it decided to take a "tuk tuk.") i agreed and he said he's gonna bill 200 bucks extra for transport, and that was fine.

it was raining so heavily and the roads were like @#%@. (i think god Zeus would have been pissed off by someone and it was thundering like hell.) so my friend and i were waiting on this delivery for an hour and finally my friend decided to leave. 2 hours later this guy comes to my offis with the ps2 and i payed him as promised.

now i'm happy that the ps2 is here i was rockin' and was plannin on going home and "playing hell." then i remembered that the cables and all the other stuff that came with the unit were in my friends car. so i called him up and he was good enuf to come back to office, eventhough he was on his way to pick up his girl friend. thanks buddy.

so finally, i got all the pieces together and rushed home fast. since my tv was an older one, it did not support NTSC. so the pictures were black & white :( but i was cool, "something is better than nothing :)" the first game was cool. then i wanted to try the second; so i put it in and began playing. suddenly i noticed something...

eventhough my tv didn't support NTSC, the game was running in color :) bingo !!!

Progressive Electronic Music

Progressive in the context of modern dance music (occasionally progressive electronic dance music or prog) is a term that includes a collection of electronic dance music genres which draw upon the use of progressive performing techniques and includes the styles of progressive trance, progressive house, progressive techno and progressive breaks.

Most electronic dance music tracks released are produced with certain features that are favourable for DJs to beatmatch records together seamlessly. Unlike the song structures of genres like hard house or Hi-NRG, the peaks and troughs in a progressive dance track tend to be more subtle. Layering different sounds on top of each other and slowly bringing them in and out of the mix is a key idea behind the progressive movement.

The term "progressive" typically refers to the structure of a track which occur incrementally. An exception is progressive trance. The term Progressive trance usually refers to a type of trance music that features a less prominent lead melody and focuses more on atmosphere. In the case of progressive house, the term "progressive" can also refer to the style's open mindedness to bring in new elements to the genre. These elements can be a variety of sounds, such as a guitar loop, computer generated noises, or other elements typical of other genres. Progressive electronic is also a term for a sub-genre in new age music and contains elements of progressive rock, classical music and ambient music and electronic music. It has been used to describe artists such as Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre.

Progressive house

Progressive house has its origins in Great Britain in the early 1990s, with the output of Guerrilla Records and Leftfield's first singles (particularly "Song of Life"). Mixmag editor Dom Phillips coined the term to describe this type of music. In 1992, the dance club Renaissance opened in Mansfield. Its DJs - particularly Sasha and John Digweed - were instrumental in popularizing its early sound. The music itself consisted of the 4-to-4 beat of house music with deeper, dub-influenced basslines and a more melancholic, emotional edge. Often, it featured elements from many different genres mixed together. "Song of Life", for instance, has a trip-hop like down-pitched breakbeat and a high-energy Roland TB-303 riff at various stages.

There have been many shifts in style in progressive house. After the release of BT's debut album Ima, for instance, many of the genre's subsequent records featured an ethereal, melodic style. As trance became more popular and melodic, progressive house darkened and acted as an underground counterpoint, merging with tribal house to produce many very minimal percussive tracks.

Meanwhile, the Melbourne-centered Australian progressive scene, whose luminaries include Phil K and Luke Chable pioneered a distinctive sound of their own - marked by melodic pads and delicate melodies. This style was pushed heavily in Britain and elsewhere by DJ Dave Seaman and Australian Anthony Pappa. Its influence even fed back into trance, with many sub-genre trademarks finding their way into the so called "Anjuna sound" centred on Above & Beyond's record label Anjunabeats. Since 2005, progressive house's popularity has lessened in dance music, with most of the scene's major DJs playing electro-, tech-house, and minimal.

Progressive trance

Progressive trance is a popular sub-genre in trance music and contains elements of house, techno, and ambient music. Trance became more focused on the anthemic qualities and melodies, moving away from arpeggiated analog synth patterns. Acoustic elements and spacey pads became popular with compositions leaned towards incremental changes à la progressive structures. Progressive trance contains distinctive sounds in many tracks, such as unusual basslines or original synthesized sounds, which generally makes it more "catchy". Phrases are usually a power of two number of bars in most typical progressive trance tracks. Phrases usually begin with the introduction of a new or different melody or rhythm.

Compared to trance, the progressive wing is usually deeper and more abstract, featuring a lower average bpm (around 125-135) and a recurrent melodic structure intuitively described in a 'build-up -> climax -> break-down' manner. Each of these three structural elements are emphasized temporally and/or in their intensity (a 'build-up' sequence can sometimes last up to 3 or even 4 minutes), while subtle, incremental/decremental acoustic variations (i.e. gradual addition/substraction of instruments) anticipate the transition to the subsequent structural element of the track. The initial build-up and the final break-down are generally very similar, adding a feel of symmetry to the general structure of the melody. Furthermore, a progressive trance track is usually longer than a regular trance track, ranging in length from 5-6 to even 12-13 minutes.

Although there is a general and increasing tendency to associate progressive trance with progressive house (or vice-versa), virtually rendering these two sub-genres identical, there are however distinctive characteristics apart from the strong similitudes between them: progressive trance inherits from its parent genre (trance) a wider melodic flexibility, while progressive house is usually darker and more minimal.

Popular artists in this electronic music genre include ATB, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Gabriel & Dresden, Markus Schulz, Cressida, Deepsky, Manny Ward, Mike Mikhjian and Lost Tribe.

Progressive psytrance

Progressive psytrance is the progressive form of psychedelic trance. Contrary to most progressive trance, progressive psytrance is usually darker and focuses more on psychedelia rather than melody. Influential artists in the genre include (in alphabetical order) Atmos, Igneous Sauria, Jaia, Phony Orphants, Sensient, Son Kite, Ticon, and Vibrasphere.

Progressive breaks

Progressive breaks essentially grew out of Australian nu skool breaks and progressive house. Due to its origins in those genres, progressive breakbeat typically features atmospheric pads and melodies. Most artists working in this genre also work in other closely related genres such as breakbeats and progressive house. Hybrid is one of the few popular artists who exclusively works in this genre. Other popular breaks artists include Digital Witchcraft, Luke Chable, Momu, and Way Out West.

Progressive drum & bass

There are a few forms of drum & bass which are considered progressive. Neurofunk, a variant of the techstep subgenre incorporates elements of jazz and funk along with multiple electronic influences including techno and trance. The style also follows the progressive form as found in other genres. Drumfunk, a relatively new subgenre, can also be considered progressive. Contemporary atmospheric drum'n'bass have also been described as progressive.

Similarities in progressive genres

Since about 2000, progressive house and progressive trance have mostly converged. While the faster (130-140bpm) records are usually described as progressive trance, most producers from both styles have moved towards a slower (110-130bpm) tempo and are thus typically classified as progressive house. Many psychedelic trance artists have also moved to a slower (125-138bpm) range branding their style as progressive trance.

Turning Point !

well, this post is all about words; yes, words... but one rule... all exctractions are from song lyrics... the "turning points."

check this out...

Leave behind your fears
Please believe
You will not falter
There's no danger here
You can breathe
In clear blue water

-- Clear Blue Water (Oceanlab)

The night I laid my eyes on you
Felt everything around me move
Got nervous when you looked my way
But you knew all the words to say

Then your love slowly moved right in
All this time oh my love where you been

I'm mesmerized in every way
You keep me in a state of daze
You're kisses make my skin feel weak
I'm always melting in your heat

-- Rapture (iio & Armin van Buuren)

I wouldn't call it time well spent
Repeating to myself again
Find comfort in an endless stream of moments
I don't even care, about the way
I feel today
Because it changes anyway
Something will make me cry or smile
Another picture on my pile

Now I'm standing close to you
It's just something that I do
When I need love to be enough
I wish love could be enough

-- Close to You (DJ Tiesto)

We argue, constantly
Disagree, about everything
Distance, nothing new for me
I feel uneasy, under this thing
Thoughts away
The heavenly

Face me, sitting in my memory,
Hold me, I remember

-- In My Memory (DJ Tiesto)

You can travel the world but you can't run away
from the person you are in your heart
you can be who you want to be
make us believe in you
keep all your light in the dark
if your searching for truth
you must look in the mirror
and make sense of what you can see...just be...

-- Just Be (DJ Tiesto)

After all they shared
How could he simply say no
After all they shared
He turned away from her to go
She said she wouldn't cry
That was really just a lie

-- After All (Delerium)

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought ... it figures

-- Ironic (Alanis Morisette)

4. nokia rm-84 firmware (v 5.0638.3.0.1) with two additional themes (green/red)

requirements:
1. nokia n70 standard phone (n70-1)
2. nokia usb data cable for n70 (again, i can't remember the device number for the cable)
3. download the nemesis service suite.
4. download the nokia software updater for n70 from nokia.
5. nokia n70 phone charger.

steps to convert:
1. install nemesis service suite (select virtual usb devices) and nokia software updater.
2. connect the phone using the usb data cable and connect the charger to the phone.
3. run nemesis and click the "discovery" icon on the top-right corner.
4. once the phone info has been extracted, click on the "phone info" iconnn (second from left)
5. key in the product code for an n70me phone. (select a product code from the list below)
6. click "write" and wait till it updates the phone chip. once done, click "read" to verify. this might not work at times, and/or might give an error. if so use "alt+ctrl+del" and close nemesis and continue from step 3 skipping the "read" part in step 6.
7. once this is done, close nemesis and run the nokia software updater.
8. follow the instructions to update the firmware.

once this is done, you should have successfully updated your phone software and at the same time converted your "n70" to "n70 music edition." now you should have two extra themes (green/red) and your phone will support the "nokia ad-41 adapter with the hs-21 headset." upgrading your mmc card is optional.

note:
sometimes you should be able to directly update the firmwire, without changing the product code, to try this first try the above mentioned steps, skipping steps 3 to 6. if it doesn't work, then try steps 1 to 8.

when the product code is changed, you automatically void the warrenty from nokia. so do this at your own risk. still, if you need the product code reverted back to its original, you can follow steps 3 to 6, using the original product code, which you can find at the back of your phone in the battery slot.

the product codes for n70me are as follows (i used 0543027):

0539266 Apac1
0539272 Philippines
0539273 Australia
0539353 New Zealand

Cut n' Paste or Folder.exe?

well, this virus was introduced to my pc by a friend of mine. the main symptoms of the virus are:

1. inability to "cut" and "paste" documents and folders using "explorer." the document/folder will be copied to the location instead. but it will not remove the original document/folder from its original location.

2. the virus creates "exe" files by the name of the folder in the root and sub folders of removable drives (i.e., usb drives).

3. the virus creates it's infection files in the root of the removable drive and they may have the following names:
a. folder named $lddata$
b. folder named rm and a file named rm.exe
c. folder named ms.config

method of cloning:

the "exe" files created by the name of the name of the folders, act as cloning base for the virus. if you double click on the "exe" file, thinking it's a folder (hoping to open it), it will infect your pc.

how to clean:

1. make sure not to open the files in the removable drive. if you do, the virus will further infect your pc.

2. use the windows command editor for the following steps (start=>run or windows key+"r").

3. browse to the removable drive (i.e., d:)

4. then do a "dir .exe" and you should see the "exe" files by the previous folder names. you will notice that the folders have disappeared. but this is not true. the folders are actually attributed "hidden" and "system."

5. once the "exe" file list is up "del *.exe" but make sure that there are no actual "exe" files in the list, or else you might loose them. only the "exe" files baring folder names should be deleted. if you are not sure, use "del *.exe/p" instead and select which files to delete.

6. once this is done, "attrib -s -h 'lost foder name'". repeat this to recover all the folders. if you forget a particular folder name, do a "dir/ah" and get the list.

7. now that the folders are recovered and you are happy, lets clean the virus files itself. if not, this will infect your pc again. do a dir/ah again and check if there are any more files or folders left. (examples of such file/folder names are $lddata$, rm, ms.config)

8. do "attrib -s -h 'folder name'" for each folder/file and delete them ("del " for files and "rd " for folders). if the folder is not empty, you will have to goto each folder do the above metioned attrib procedure to display the files/folders and delete them, come back to the root and remove the folder.

once this is done, do a "dir/ah" and check if there are any files/folders displayed. if the list is empty, congrats, you are good to go.

note: some new usb drives have built-in software that can't be removed. don't worry if such files are in the list they won't be infected and will not cause any problem.

happy cracking
cheers
